My guess is that Hurley is inclined to choose the more defensive oriented player. He is old school. But he is such a good motivator and defensive coach, and hasn’t given anybody reason to suspect he is a good offensive coach. Please play the best offensive players and coach them up on D.

Our offense was much better than our defense last year. Top 25 offense last year.

The Karaban/Johnson starting spot seems really simple. We heard all summer it was a tight battle with Karaban having a slight lead. Karaban got hurt 2 weeks before the season and then barely played/practiced leading up to game 1. No need to overthink this

Honestly it could have been Clingan this week, even though he had an "off" game vs. UNCW. "Off" meaning 2pts/6reb/2blk in 12 minutes

For the week he averaged 9.7 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 2.3 BPG shooting 87% in 3 games
Minus UNCW he averaged 13.5 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 2.5 BPG shooting 80% in 2 games
