My ex is a UCONN alum and worked for years at the Duke medical center and is a huge Duke fan. It happens. :(
 
I dunno - it seems like a perfectly workable relationship from our side of the divide.

"Hey, remember that time when Rashad hit that three and your boys folded up their tent?"

"Hey, remember that time that goofy Alaskan kid though he could take Ricky Moore?"

"Hey, do you want to drive to UConn to see the 1999 and 2004 championship trophies? The ones you thought would be in Durham, but somehow never got there?"

I don't see a problem.
 
Never mind Rashad hitting the 3, we scored Twelve straight points and they hit a meaningless 3 at the buzzer!!!!!!! Final 79-78.
 
Well its a good thing if the UConn decal was appropriately placed on top.

Nope, side by side....but at least UCONN was on the left side like a box score.
 
My (longtime) ex went to Duke. We had an unspoken agreement that I wouldn't demonstrably root against Duke in her presence. That...was difficult.

I love that I am now free to openly hate them. They're kind of less hateable now, though, unfortunately. But I still hate them.
