I'm sorry, I meant Stanford-UCLA.

The score is 11-2 after 8 minutes, so you can see why I was confused.

Every cliche WCBB haters throw out on full display in this one. Awful to watch.

The fact this Stanford team will likely make the Final 4 is a testament to how weak WCBB is after the top 4. Outside of Chiney and Orrange they are very ordinary.

Can UCLA make a move with Chiney on the bench? If they cant than its really pathetic.

What are you taking about? Stanford is led by the best player in WCBB. Clearly.

If the committee watched this game and the ACC championship, there's gonna be a strong case for Duke #1 in Spokane.
That would also help with regional balance.

The one who is 1-9 on FGs and 1-4 on FTs?

Her team is down 7 with 8 mins to go.

Now down 5.

Yeah, but Duke as a 1 out West doesn't help them against Stanford.

I dont understand your statement.
If Duke goes out West and plays Stanford, whether it's a 1 v. 2 matchup or a 2 v. 1 matchup, there is little difference, in my view. In either case, they are playing a good West Coast team in the West.

First, Duke would not be a #2 out west. They are #2 in Norfolk or #1 in Spokane, period.
Second, Duke-Stanford makes the west much stronger than, say, a Stanford-KY bracket that Creme has.

Being a 1 helps, but it helps most if you are near home. It doesn't help much if you get a team your equal as the 2 seed in their part of the country.

I think Stanford is going to win, so it may be moot.

I know some of our venerable visiting fans think that Big Stef falls down too much.

But can we agree that she has never done that as embarrassingly as Mikaela Ruf just did on a show-and-go drive by UCLA's Markel Walker? Bit at a half-hearted ball fake, and then just "Timberrrrrred!" over like a big California redwood. Yikes.

You think Duke would rather play ND or Stanford with a shot at the final four?

Probably not, but ND in Norfolk may not be much worse than Stanford out West.

UCLA had it but couldnt make the plays down the stretch. Orrange did.
10 misses, 4 TOs, 2 fouls, 5 pts in final 7 minutes.

Stanford 4 misses, 3 steals, 2 fouls, 14 pts

Stanford playing in Spokane is like us playing in Charlotte. Not a big advantage.

Stanford is there for the taking. But I question whether anyone in WCBB outside of Baylor, ND, UConn is good enough to do it. UCLA pissed their chance away. Personally I would like to see some new blood in the Final 4 (outside of us of course!).
