Come on, the game was over- save that effort for the NCAAs!

I get the "play hard until the last buzzer no matter the score" mentality, but diving over tables and into the camera guy just isn't smart. In fact, it looked like one of their girls was hurt on the last series of the game. Hope she's OK.

Not trying to stir up a hornets nest here- just an observation. The game was over, and risking injury in that situation just didn't make sense.

That was Wheeler who got hurt. I don't know her status. Like you,
I would like all BE teams to be at full strength for the NCAA tourney.

Horribly stupid. and it resulted in Wheeler looking like she passed out and being taken out of the arena in a wheel chair. many of the fans had left the arena so i'm not sure if they were aware of what transpired, but i'd love to hear what was wrong with her and why they needed a wheelchair. seriously hope she's ok...

Yikes. I saw she wasn't able to get off the floor, but it was so late that I couldn't stick around to see whether she was OK. Discouraging to hear she went out on a wheelchair. Best wishes to her.

If it was the player who went flying over the table into the stands,as soon as the game was over on ESPN they left so I had no idea that she was injured? That is a shame and hope she is ok! I decided to add hope it was exhaustion and then saw that DC had just posted this!

Not sure they were trying to win the game in the last three minutes. They didn't focus on fouling us.
Really strange since free throw shooting has emerged as a weakness for us.

They went into a full court press and certainly appeared to be playing with Intensity until the game was over. They just did not score after they got the lead down to 8! We scored the last 8 0r 9 points! Rutgers D is going to win them some games in the tournament. I think theis can be said for many of the BE teams!

One positive is that UConn handles the press so much better than last year. Watching us play a team like G'town last season was absolutely maddening. Now, we communicate, we help, we pass away from traffic, we dribble away from traffic...it's textbook.

Wheeler tried to get up 2 or 3 times and each time sank slowly to the court. I left after that so I did not see the wheelchair. The funny thing about Rutgers in the last few minutes was how casually they played on offense. They didn't rush the ball up the court, or take any quick shots. It seemed to take them at least 25 seconds to take a shot. Hard to understand that logic if you're trying to win.

she was bending over a few times in the last minute or 2 (during breaks in the action)... I think some of her mates kept telling her to 'lets finish up strong"

Yeah, the incongruity of diving over the table for a pass and taking 30 seconds to get a shot off was noticeable. Was there a sense of urgency when trailing by 10 or so in the last few minutes--or not?
