OT: Rutgers fires coach...CD a possibility?

I'd like CD to stay one year past Geno's retirement. To help with transition. This, of course, if the next HC would go for it.
Ideally CD would change her mind and get an opportunity ala Bill Guthridge to be head coach for three years after Geno. Guthridge had issues recruting but the man went to two Final Fours in three years and was a heck of a coach, my guess is CD would have similar results at UCONN.

Interesting to reflect on the downward tragetory of Rutgers and BC.
ADs have been a disaster.

She had taken Cheyney to the finals in 1982 and Iowa to the F4 in 1993, and had 500 wins (probably 1 of just 3 at that point). She was an elite in the coaching ranks.
As my wife and I found out - rapidly - the RU fanbase of the day did not (mostly) extend to any interest in Women's Basketball beyond Rutgers.

I knew who Vivian was, and had only been following women's basketball for a couple of years. My wife, whose exposure consisted of seeing the UNC National Championship on TV before attending our first live game in January 1995, didn't. Remember, this was a different day and age, with few TV games. When we considered our first season tix for the next year, my wife wanted to know whether we wanted to get tickets with a new head coach. I assured her that CVS was, in fact, very notable.

But a key point is that my wife and I became interested in "Women's Basketball" primarily and followed Rutgers as it was both local and my alma mater. Similarly, we are big U of A fans in multiple sports, including women's basketball, because we live in Tucson. But we tape almost every WBB game on DirecTV and are looking forward to all the televised major conference tournaments and the championships from most conferences, which are televised.

Rutgers is an interesting situation. In a great conference, but I'm not sure they put much $ into WCBB. I read that the RAC holds 8,000 and was built in 1977. It says there is a training facility there, but not sure how "good" it is. Without resources, the state university of New Jersey won't be able to compete in the current market with NIL and all that.

RU is in a great conference (Big 10), but is dead last, 1 game behind Northwestern. Even if they hired a dynamic coach (@Blakeon18 mentioned 5 including Berube and Bozella from Seton Hall), but why would Carla want that job? She's done great at Princeton, and unless RU ponies up resources, it's a dead end job.
So far as I know, the training facility is excellent - or at least it was when it was new, maybe 5 or so years ago. We were long gone.

As to the RAC (now Jersey Mike's Arena) it isn't a negative, as it is excellent to watch a game and reasonably intimidating to opponents if there is a crowd - BUT - it doesn't have the options for extra revenue beyond floor seats. Of course, neither does Arizona or many other arenas.

I have no idea what Rutgers is doing in NIL, but they have huge financial issues, so it could be interesting, I guess. I abandoned their message board when they started charging, so I don't know what RU fans think.

Curious to see who takes over the program and which up and coming top 100 recruit wants to say or thinks "Rutgers is the program for me and I can help turn that program around" because it is going to take a truly remarkable coach to help turn the Rutgers program around. Or, like a lot of programs in WBB, Rutgers could become a program that just exists.
