Ch. 143 on NYC Cablevision.

Go Johnnies!

Johnnies came out on fire in the second half, now lead 44-39. Johnnies guards taking over the game.

RU is very lackluster and CVS just sits there, looking bored. How any kid watching her in a game like this wants to play at RU is beyond me.

I think we really need to lose this game. We haven't played well the last few games, so this would be a much needed wake up call. I think the #7 ranking has went to our heads.

We can't play down or up to the other team like we like to do.

Red Storm leaves Scarlet Knights on the side of the road. St. Johns wins, 62-57.

You got your wish. SJU wins 62-57, despite Rushdan's heroics. McKenith, McPherson and Smith hit enough FT's down the stretch to hold on.

I just don't believe in Rutgers this year. Felt the loss to Tennessee said more about Rutgers than it did the LVs. Coler is right- they had this loss coming, and it's not to their detriment particularly that it happened.

RU will lose at least three more games in the regular season: at Georgetown, ND and at UConn. Those three are consecutive games coming up. Then they have to go to West Virginia which could be another tough game. Right now, Georgetown is easily better than RU and could be a tough 3 seed in the BE tourney. RU will be a 3 or 4 seed in the NCAA tourney.

Don't worry by tomorrow they will be locked out of the locker room, Have to play in their own clothes and do their own laundry till Viv see's improvement in play and attitude. RU has traveled this road many times. Lets see who stay's and who bails. Till Viv can get someone on her staff to teach offense you will struggle against elite teams that can score from all 5 positions like Uconn.

I'm sure the overflow crowd of 942 willed St. John's to victory.

Cole, with all due respect, CVS & her team should have been aware that SJU is a streaky team capable of knocking off anyone on a good night. They must have seen the SJU-Baylor game or noticed that the Johnnies recently beat a ranked Louisville team. If they were unable to get up for this game then I would be very alarmed if I were a RU fan.

How about "accuracy in media" from Nan's linked article, below: are we #5?

Only No. 3 Notre Dame and No. 5 Connecticut stand above Rutgers in the national rankings among Big East teams, and the idea of Rutgers leaping above them in the rankings at some point this season is a feasible idea.

Student newspaper. ND is also #2 and, no offense to the Scarlet Knights, but there's absolutely no chance in the world that RU will "leap above" #3 UConn and #2 ND into #1 in the rankings during the season. Clearly the writer is clueless.

Besides the ranking inaccuracies, no it's not feasible Rutgers leaping above ND and UConn .

Before the Tennessee game we were playing with fire, and since it's been as if we have gone back to playing down to teams. We can't seem to play with a lead, CVS has stated that she wants the team to have a killer instinct and not "play to lose" so to speak. I haven't seen that yet, so I think that if something good comes out of this lost is that it show the ladies that they can't show up and play well in the big games, they have to play well and play to win every single night. I believe this game is the much needed wake up call that we need as we haven't played well for the last few games and were lucky to beat L'ville at home.

Is the rest of the top 25 so bad? Rutgers looked totally chaotic.
