Jonnies coming out out with a purpose. Stands are absolutely empty - not sure why they use SD as a site.

I didn't get to see the game but these stats are whack, and I know Nova probably fouled a lot at the end

3 Point
2-16 Utah State
14-30 Nova

Personal Fouls
14 Utah State
21 Nova

Free Throws
28-36 Utah State
6-13 Nova

The Fighting Badabings are locked in. Smothering NIU early.

Nice to see Darling hitting shots
I'm a huge fan of Dillon Mitchell.

They're taking NI 72 feet, and Zubi is pressuring full court forcing turnovers. This is what Pitino needs a full year for - conditioning, mentality. They are manhandling NI. Looks like yet another blowout coming. So many of these games are straight bores. It make absolutely no sense to expand to let more mid majors in, that is for sure.

Much as I hate St. Johns I think the Big East needed them to look underseeded. I switched to UCF vs UCLA on my 2nd TV. Have UConn Hockey vs BC on the main screen.

So I take it the "Donovan Dent calf strain" reporting from last weekend was completely bogus, he doesn't even have a leg sleeve on

I mean it wasn't bogus, he left a tournament game early and didn't return. Must have been mild.

Underseeded by 2 maybe 3 slots. The 5 was a joke.Northern Iowa looks like a high school team.

Northern Iowa is totally overmatched by St John’s physicality. Pitino putting on a clinic.

You mean the players he purchased are employing his press. Anyone notice that the refs are not calling that many fouls on them?

Words have meanings, he had an injury but not that specific injury

The thing that sticks out about St John to me is that all players are quick. Hopkins is quicker now than his freshman year. Zuby could play guard. No slow footed guys on the roster.

UCF was good at home, but really didn't do much away from home except the WTF outlier at BYU after Richie Saunders was injured.

I completely agree there’s no need to expand the field. But I don’t think this year’s results are much different than any other year - similar number of blowouts, and similar number of games where the mid major keeps it close until the last few minutes. Heck, Siena and Howard combined to outscore Duke and Michigan by 7 in their first halves.

Compared to how good they are, yes. Compared to what they actually did during the year, no.

McCollum didn't want to steal a few minutes of rest for Stirtz when Iowa had a big lead and Clemson has cut into the deficit anyway. Lets see if they got enough gas to hold on.
