This still makes no sense to me. Bad decision Roscoe... You'll sit a year, be a 6th man, play the backup 4, have worse coaching, and never sniff another final 4. I wish you well, but ouch on that decision... Best of luck in the south korean league down the road

Moser is really a small forward he moved over beacuse of Chace Stanback last year and Anthony Bennet will be a small forward, it won't matter this year because Roscoe will have to sit out....brain fart. I really don't understand why Roscoe is leaving in the first place.

It still hurts that Roscoe left. I've said this in a previous post, but I still think the best decision for his future would have been to stick it out at UConn. He may technically be playing the four, but in a year where UConn doesn't have a true post player, the floor would have been spread out and Roscoe would have been able to attack the basket and do his thing. If there was ever a year where Roscoe was going to play 35 minutes per game and really have a chance to prove himself, this was the year. He would have been a top three returning player, at the very least, and one of the pillars of the team for the next two seasons.

I wish him all the best, it just sucks from a UConn fans perspective. His skill did not improve as much as we had hoped, but he's still an excellent defender, good rebounder, and great team player.

Moser is a PF in a wing's body, basically like Roscoe, he's not a SF. As for Bennett, he has range on his jumper and can put it on the floor but he's not a college SF either.

Maybe it's just me, but when a player is done with UConn, I'm done caring about them.

There's always the slots if you're bored.

Wait!! There were slots in CT!

UConn may be a lot like LV. Easy transition.

when watching that video I ask myself "what did Jamie tell his team?".

was it "whatever you do, don't double up on Kemba"?

or maybe "make Kemba shoot, don't leave Jamal Coombs-McDaniel or anybody else open?"

their defensive strategy mystifies me to this day

The Pitt players actually talked about that after the game. Dixon told them to switch everything and they put McGhee on Jamal Coombs-McDaniel and Gilbert Brown on Oriakhi knowing that a ball screen was coming. But they wrongly assumed Oriakhi would set the ball screen and they were OK with Brown guarding Kemba on the switch. But in a subtle piece of Hall of Fame coaching, Calhoun just had whoever McGhee was guarding (Jamal Coombs-McDaniel) set the screen to get the mismatch he wanted.

I also remember Wanamaker was asked why he didn't double Kemba and his response was he didn't want to leave Jamal Coombs-McDaniel open.
