So UCONN is going into year 3/4 of a disproportional amount of injuries...time to start pointing the finger at yourself, time to change your training protocols, and time to except that today's kids are coming in a certain way that isn't compatible with how you have worked kids in the past.
Texas and ND might also want to look in the mirror, too

This would apply to all programs, not just these three. At the same time, there has to be accountability at the grass roots level as well. Players are coming in playing a lot more than players from even 5 - 10 years ago.

All programs should be looking at and adjusting their training regimen. Yes. Some are already doing so. Change at the grass roots level is going to be slow unless regulations are put in place. There are too many stakeholders and profit drives decision making.

What would make you possibly think that all parties concern are doing everything they can to minimize injuries
I don’t even want to comment on how foolish your pointing the finger comment is

I hear you re grassroots, but you'd think they would see a correlation between the two. Key players suffering multiple injuries before hitting a college court, should be a red flag. I know it's wishful thinking but more education at the coaching level would be a huge help.

College coaches are notorious for ignoring recommendations from the performance team for the sake of winning. Coaches are also slow to change how they do things when they have been successful; especially if those changes will cost a lot of money.
Former players are a great resource for finding out what goes down in terms of playing time, injury response, practice load within a program, etc.
Anyone who thinks that the players' health and well being are always the #1 priority is naive.
If we learned anything from COVID, it should be this.

So your inference is that the uconn
Notre dame and Texas women’s bb teams
Have “ignored recommendations “
And are responsible for these injuries
What evidence do you have to support
Your claims

I would say most coaches have ignored performance team recs at one point or another...now the stakes are higher when you do that, so I do think they listen a little more now, but not as much as they should
Talk to former players (they are more likely to talk) of almost any D1 program if you need proof.
