Hard to tell much about his all-around game since this is simply a highlight tape.

Most of the hoops are in transition where he simply beats everyone down court with his speed. That's great, but you really don't see much from the half-court.

He has a few super-athletic dunks. Almost everything he scores is because he takes it all the way to the rim. He's a slasher. The kid hit 38% from 3, so he seems solid in that regard but he didn't shoot it all that much.

He will have to learn to develop his mid-range game.
I just looked up his FT % and hes less than 60% from the charity stripe. For a guard, that's unacceptable. His mid-range jumper could use some work. Hopefully he's working on that in this year off.

I'm excited to have Rodney on board!

I think the number one thing that I like about this kid is the emotion he plays with. If you watch his games against big time opponents, such as Duke and Miami this past season, he plays with such emotion that really helps his game, helps his teammates, and gets the fans going too. I'm really looking forward to what he has to bring in 2 seasons!

Him and Omar should make for a pretty good scoring combo in 14-15 after the exodus this year

tell me again why his playing time was drastically reduced as the year wore on... and for a team that under-performed...

Just when is he eligible?? December 2013, or October 2014??? Apparently he plans to spend summer in Storrs.

He's allowed to practice with the team as a normal player, just can't play in games until Fall 2014. He's under scholarship both years and will be a Sophomore in 2014

I like this kid's game a lot. I know you can't tell a ton from a highlight reel, but he's athletic and seems to love playing defense. I think his offense is solid. So glad we got him...

If you believe the adage that a college players sees the most growth from his freshmen year to his soph. year than purvis s/b a stud by 2014. He will surely help offset our player's moving on after this year. I believe he will be an AA.

He chose the number "0" at NC State? WTF? I hope that is not allowed at UCONN. Zero by definition is nothing, go be nothing on another team. And this ain't no Harlem Globetrotter clown show, you aren't allowed to be zero just to be cheeky or different. Pick a real number.

I'm not surprised he ended up transferring with a number like that, if I didn't know anything about a team and I had to guess which guy would transfer, I would guess the clown wearing zero.

Why even have a number. At least 00 has some character. 0 is idiotic.

If UCONN wins the championship next year is everyone going to jump around yelling we're number 0 ?

Does this **** make sense when you're typing it? Do teams usually yell out jersey numbers when they win something?

I know the label "dumbest post ever" gets thrown around a lot here, but I don't see this guy being topped.
