RIP Stanley. Ready for tomorrow to come already

if the speculation is true, just continues the need to check in on our “strong” friends, while continuing to support people like Al who are vocal and transparent about what they’re going thru.

Terrible.

One of greatest pure athletes in Husky history.

Jim Calhoun's quote might support the suicide rumor:
"Just a really, really sweet kid. The world was harsh for him, because he was such a caring, giving person."

Awful news.

Being a senior in 2009 I thought we had it locked for a national championship. He was such a great athlete and brought so much energy. The fact that he took time off to go work showed the type of person he was and work ethic he had.

I remember going back for the Texas game and rushing the court. That dunk was unreal and Gampel was as loud as I’ve ever heard it.

RIP Sticks.

What the hell? Just read this on the twitter. My day is shot.

A fun, enigmatic player. His ceiling was so high.

Rest in Peace Sticks.

ugh, heartbreaking. I can't imagine the toll it takes on the players whose careers don't pan out. Can't help but feel like we often overlook how brutal the sports industry is to a majority of players.
100% agree. No matter how grounded you can be, we can never imagine the toll and pressure that can cause.

Can't forget, Sticks was ranked the 18th best recruit in his class. Any player ranked that high has all the right in the world to believe they could be a lottery pick some day, but obviously it doesn't always work out.
