RIP Stanley Robinson

FYI I know there was a gofundme posted before, unsure if it was for the best intentions or not...

I’m pretty sure it was legit from his Uncle. Stanley’s niece liked my tweet linking to it and she retweeted it.

not in the“know” but whoever it was was aware of the arrangements cause they even in the description put “If you’d rather you can donate to the fuberal
Home direct” & linked the same one

I was a freshman for the 08-09 season. I was within arms reach of him a few times I got front row at Gampel. Always a crowd favorite. Seemed like such a nice guy; I’ll never forget hearing and thinking “wait, THAT GUY worked in a freakin steel mill?” I know this is kinda late

There's a few versions of this song out there. I like this one because he is reacting to this song knowing he lost his sister way too soon.

"Go rest on high on that mountain. Son your work on earth is done."

A simple reminder that our preferred timeline isn't the timeline we eventually end up living.

Very common in the South at funerals.

Organizer also listed as $200 donor to the drive.

I feel stupid not knowing the answer to this but can someone share the way Stanley became "Sticks"? From all I've read, the nickname goes way far back.

Agree, Mau. Still haven’t really digested it. I hope we can have his family up to Storrs periodically so they can see what an impact he had on our community.

A huge part of Uconn basketball died and it even feels like a piece of you is taken away as Stanley Robinson has always been etched into us over the years, giving you that joy to watch and talk about Uconn basketball. At midnight madness they should have a Stanley Robinson award to whoever wins the dunk contest.
