RIP - guess who didn't die?

BBC used to put 5-10 years between their Earth projects with David Attenborough - now, they're doing like one a week to try to beat the reaper and get some of them in the can.

He could narrate an autopsy and make it sound interesting.

Robert Wagner at 95 surprised me - felt just like yesterday he was talking Number Two with Austin Powers.

When Discovery brought the Life series to the US, they replaced Attenborough with Oprah Winfrey. They replaced him with Sigourney Weaver for Earth and with Morgan Freeman for another.

With all due respect to those people, especially Freeman, but that was just pure idiocy

William Daniels was in an odd modernized adaptation with Keri Russell & Dan Cortese (seriously) of "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson.

I showed it to nearly every high school class I ever taught, such a great bad movie.
When I was in middle school, they had a short story version of "The Lottery". Subs like to show it with no context. Gave me nightmares.
