ridiculously addictive you tube clips

I quit bothering with the daily talk shows quite a while ago. Had never even heard of this, it follows Colbert. Binged a bunch of segments on Youtube. They do about a 60 second talk show portion so they can call it a talk show, the rest is unhinged, free form game show with no rules madness. I'd seen a bit of Taylor Tomlinson doing stand up. Have various guests, some I was familiar with, some not. Out of quite a few I watched, this one just killed me.

 
Stumbled onto this one, pretty interesting. This channel has all kinds of different topics. There's also something related called World Friends that has some interesting videos.

Anyway this guy isn't multi lingual but has studied music from all over the world and is pretty good at figuring out what language people are speaking.

Best thing to come out of Rutgers in years. Unfortunately, Rutty probably thought they were getting the other Mamadou N'Diaye when they offered a scholly.

I don't know if its possible for anyone else to love this as much as I do, but there are a lot of Soprano's heads on this board and statistically some of us must also be ST:TNGers too, so I share this gem the algorithm blessed me with today.

 
I often use a YT playlist to fall asleep. And occasionally it won't shut off. So sometimes I wake up to YT stuff that's only vaguely in whatever YT thinks my likes are.

This morning I woke up to a Rick Beato interview with Dweezil Zappa. And despite my never advancing beyond a rudimentary guitar player, I could not stop watching this. Dweezil is a great interview and even though he'd spent much of his adult life breaking down his father's music so he could understand and play it, he credited Beato's courses for giving him a vocabulary to understand much of what he was trying to do. And Beato was awed at some of the stuff Dweezil did regarding picks, muting, hitting multiple notes, and exercises that even Beato learned new stuff. I was the type of interview where you had two masters discussing minutae that you wouldn't normally care about, but their passions and knowledge made you care about it. I don't know how else to explain it, but I was engaged and impressed even though there was nothing I could use or benefit from.

Reminded me that I stumbled on a video of Eddie Van Halen. It was a clip from this longer one, starting around 25 minutes, where he explains how he discovered his trademark style.
 


I like these videos about experts evaluating the realism of movies and TV shows.

I like most of the Please Don't Destroys. I am also a big fan of the new writers on SNL. Tina Fey's crew was great for a time, but they needed to move on.
 
There's a bunch of these. Crack me up. 2 are picky and 2 will eat literally anything.

 
The Zach Morris is Trash Funny or Die videos are pretty funny.
 
I got hooked on those peeps that go into the forest or jungle with a backpack and build a house or cabin.
