Mahaney is Mark Price

Reed has Daryl Dawkins body/reaction time, but showed some nice passing

Samson has same pros and cons. I think his understanding of defensive standard keeps him the starter

Ball was explosive/frustrating (mostly explosive) in cliched Russell Westbrook ways. Could be breakout star

Stewie had some real wiggle breaking down man 1 on 1 late. more fluidity

McNeely and Karaban were interchangeable assassins

Nowell has nice arc with 2 for 2 from 3 , great energy, nice setup for Reed

Ross still bouncy but seems too rushed

I know it's just a exhibition game.
But:
We are so deep as a team that Platoon system is not out of a question.
All the hype about Ball is real. Solo Ball is going to be a force!
McNeely is as ready a frosh as there is.
Mahaney shook off the rust, and showed out.
Nowell could surprise us bigly.

Let's keep the double digits win streak going...

Agree literally everyone showed flashes and Reed looked good once hi got comfortable but I think Samson looked the same and that’s not a good sign. Also need Stewart to be more aggressive. He did as the game went on but we need more from him. Very deep team. Solo is a STUD!

The talk of the overall talent level and depth did not look like hyperbole tonight. The center platoon situation will have some kinks to work out but I have little doubt they will provide enough for us to be an absolute force again this year with the talent we have at every other position. An absurd amount of guards and wings that can all score and create.

Looked like the boys came out a little bit too excited which resulted in a fair amount of turnovers and fouls, which Hurley will clean up after a few more games. Rebounding needs to get better, but other than that, love to see the deepness, Ross was all over the court, good defense from him. Reed showing up second half. Loved the minutes from Nowell and Singare. Aidan is going to be a monster for us. Steward had some impressive drives. Ball and Aidan are going to be monster guards in the BE.

So luckily we can shoot the crap out of the ball.

Karaban, Mahaney, Ball, and McNeely are going to have a lot of good nights with the way we can rotate the ball and the spacing we have.

Diarra will be a double double threat most games if he rebounded more he may sneak in a triple double like TN, but he should get a ton of assists with his command of this offense.

Stewart, Ross, Nowell will all have moments this year and probably Abraham too.

Johnson (dunks) and Reed (post-ups) both did what we would like on offense including passing and screening - BUT our interior defense and defensive rebounding (especially in the 1st half) was BAD! I would hate to be them the next 3 weeks in Hurley's practices.

Singare - note to DH - PLEASE PLAY HIM especially in an exhibition to get him some experience every time he gets some time on the court he produces and seeing the fact that DC is in the NBA and the comment above this one - WE NEED INTERIOR DEFENSE, SHOT BLOCKING, AND REBOUNDING.

LOVED the pass at the top of the key from Samson on the back door cut.

Scored 102 and played a pretty sloppy first half.

You better show up every day on this team. There are plenty of guys who can take your spot.

Looks like Nowell can take some carries for Mora on Saturdays

Unless something changes, Ball is an unequivocal Game #1 starter.

Karaban is Karaban.

Diarra looked great.

McNeeley great on offense. Needs to work hard on his defense.

Samson looks much more comfortable running the offense and had his usual lobs as well as a nifty baseline jumper. He looks better vs large centers vs last year but still is gonna struggle.

It’s ok because Reed can bring more beef. He looked out of sorts early, but settled in nicely.

Same with Mahaney. Looked meh early, got flowing as the game went on. He still looks small and got roasted on D quite a bit. Will need to work on adjusting/getting better because he’s not gonna grow 3 inches and out on 20lbs.

Stewart, Ross got better as game went on.

Nowell with some nice 3s, a few shaky passes. No worries.

CASHAPP!

So much depth and offense. Our D will be a bit down this year but it seems we can score 90-110 pts each night to compensate
