Catching a game on campus - any rec’s on a restaurant in the general area (5 -10 miles max). Looking at an early dinner - nice place but not necessarily fine dining nice.

The Bidwell Tavern (Coventry, Hebron?) used to be a good call but not even sure it still exists - anyway not sure I would want to go that far.

There aren't a lot of great restaurants IMO. It's mostly the kind of stuff college kids will eat. Mooyah, Jefferson Fry Co, Haven Hot Chicken. Those kinds of places.

Kathmandu and Maharajah are good. Square Peg is decent enough pizza but way overpriced.

Probably looking outside Storrs - the two in Coventry are good candidates. Need a lot of options as we’re not sure of the itinerary.

Maybe should be its own thread (never stopped anyone here before). Where do people park for games? I know there’s a garage down the road from the Student Union, but it might be full.

Hops44 has solid wings and is good about getting people in and out before a game.
Hops44 is very good. It's probably the best in my opinion. There is also Fenton River Grill in Mansfield in the same plaza as Big Y. I'm not a fan of Fenton River Grill but I have heard some good things. Bidwell is still the same as well.

A blast of nostalgia from my childhood.

Camille's on Rt. 195 in Tolland is on the way to Storrs. (Just won the prestigious "Tolland County Restaurant of the Year" for the second consecutive year!)

I’m spending Saturday night in Tolland and it’ll be my first trip to campus for a UConn game in three seasons. Camille’s is right by our stay, but we’ll likely end up at a favorite of mine like Willington Pizza.

I remember the Depot! Fancy for a UConn kid back then. I tried to impress a few dates there over the years.
It was my go-to date restaurant. Think I also had a couple of graduation dinners there, too. I remember the food being really, really good. Granted, I had DP Dough 4 times a week at that time, so context...
