Restaurants near campus?

I remember it was a railroad car (caboose) at the tracks on Rt44. They had excellent lobster ravioli there.

Never went, but I remember it being suspiciously close to the minimum security prison. Our food on campus was much clear to theirs than the Depot’s!

We went to the Depot a couple of times from out-of-town in the months before in burnt down. The place didn't just have great food, it was unique and fun. A real loss.

Coach Jenkins and some football players were at Bidwell trying the wings. I haven’t been there in years but apparently they’re still good.

It was my go-to date restaurant. Think I also had a couple of graduation dinners there, too. I remember the food being really, really good. Granted, I had DP Dough 4 times a week at that time, so context...

Sorta fun-fact, my college band (w/ JayDumo) plays up at UConn every summer. I hit up DP Dough after one of the gigs, and I must say that nostalgia is freaking delicious. I will argue, though, that on a good night, Sgt. Pep's calzones were superior.
