Long time Yarder Connectikev passed away Saturday. Lung cancer.

He was a big time Husky fan and Red Sox fan. Hasn't been active here as a poster but definitely was lurking.

I thought he deserved a hat tip here on the Yard.

His friends and family knew him as Kevin Schnaars. EDIT: From Enfield, CT.

Just tuned in to the Yard. Saw the title and it sent a chill up my spine. I met Kev at a UConn/Nova game in Philly. I had a couple of extra tickets and announced it in the Yard. He posted back to me and met him out side the front doors. Sad. It is very hard for to believe they are not even close to finding a cure.
