We are in a situation with limited options. It sucks that we have been bypassed and other schools have been handed a golden lifeline (see Rutgers, L'ville, Cuse, Pitt). But so far we are not destitute, and have the ability to make this work. It won't be easy but it will be in our hands. The school needs to do all it can to grow FB into a solid, competitive, nationally respected product. Since our conference will be poorly viewed, it will be necessary for us to prove our worth against OOC teams. It may be similar to Boise and will be hard to pull off since as we see with Boise they kill them about their conference games even if they win their OOC games. I don't see where dropping FB makes sense until it is proven that changes that we can make won't work. It may be required that we change the coaching staff in order to win here and put an attractive, competitived product on the field. We certainly haven't been very good with this staff. This year should tell us whether this staff can get it done or not. I don't get the sense there is any more patience in the admin to wait additional years for the change to occur. Let's try to support the team even if we don't like the admin or the coach. Maybe the conference schedule won't be that attractive in coming years but this year we have LV, Rutgers and USF at home and Mich and Maryland at home so there's no point in bitching about the schedule we're playing this year. Support the team now and try to be part of getting us out of this ditch we're in! If everything fails this year with FB and we simply can't win with this team and this staff, AND the admin doesn't make the necessary changes to create a winning product, then jump off the bandwagon if you can't see spending your money on this. I am a UCONN lifer and graduate. Although I care greatly about us winning, I still will buy season tickets even if the product doesn't improve. For Buffett10 - If you can't see your way to supporting FB but choose to support other UCONN teams, that helps too. Just doesn't help with getting us where we want to go as a program and conference-wise. But chucking the whole thing/it's premature. Lets try to make this work, and lets see if we can improve greatly in the admittedly limited scenario we find ourselves. Giving up does not help us succeed
