Rent sound system upgrade?

Hey, so does anyone know if the Rent sound system was a part of the recent upgrades? Down near field level we couldn’t understand 50% of what came over the speakers. Asking for my wife! 😜

Gampel Pavilion and Rentschler Field to get upgrades following approval from CT officials

"As for Rentschler Field, the newly allocated money will fund the "replacement of new metal detectors, and repairs/upgrades to IT network, sound, video and TV production systems, restrooms and other stadium components."

According to this article, the renovations are a 5 Year Plan.

"The state legislature has approved the first $24 million for upgrades that would kick-off a five-year plan — $12 million a year — for major renovations at the stadium."

Old-timers will remember Lew Perkins telling us the reason we didn't have chairbacks in the entire stadium was to pay for the the great sound system.
