well the good news is UConn has recruited and signed many players with serious knee injuries and for the most part they've gone on to have incredibly productive careers.,......Gabby is a shining past example and she had both knees seriously torn up......on the current roster Ducharme, Fudd, ONO, and Griffin have all been through it in high school............

These young ladies are playing ball year round in some cases 3rd grade all the way thru HS. While AAU can be a good part of a players progression somehow someone has to say ok that’s enough and time to shut down for a few weeks. Knee issues are becoming a huge problem in girls basketball.

Knee injuries have been a big problem in girls basketball for over 30 years. Nothing new.
