Does anyone know the timing of when the schedule will be released? We will be spending the winter in the Tampa area, and hoping that the women play USF in an away game.

Usually mid to late August. It takes a lot of time to coordinate the OOC schedule with the various media outlets covering the game.

Plus, I believe there are issues involving the men's schedule.

Last yera it was released the last week of August.

Remind me what we know about the 14 non-conference games.

Last year they were:
- HOME: Holy Cross, Pacific, Stanford, Towson, TAMU, Fairfield, UNC, & World Vision (3)
- AWAY: Baylor, Charleston, Duke, Oklahoma

This year:
- HOME: Baylor, Charleston, Duke, Maryland
- AWAY: Stanford, TAMU
- NEUTRAL: Paradise Jam 3 (Marist, Wake Forest, Purdue, Hampton, 2 tbd)

You forgot PSU, that begins at home in CT this year doesn't it.

That's 10. 4 more?

HOME: Baylor, Penn State, Charleston, Duke, Maryland
- AWAY: Stanford, TAMU, Oregon, Hartford
- NEUTRAL: Paradise Jam 3 (Marist, Wake Forest, Purdue, DePaul, Hampton, 2 tbd)

That's 12. Was the Holy Cross contract renewed?

Away at Oregon this year as well

- HOME: Baylor [Feb], Penn State [Dec], Charleston [??], Duke [??], Maryland [Dec 3]
- AWAY: Stanford [Dec 29], TAMU [??], Oregon [Dec 31], Hartford [Dec 22]
- NEUTRAL: Paradise Jam 3 [Nov 22-24] (Marist, Wake Forest, Purdue, Hampton, 2 tbd)

I would guess TAMU & Charleston are in November, with Duke in January.

I thought Charleston was a one and done...

Me too. The game was an homage to a coach that retired at the end of the year, IIRC.

Could be. But given that UConn is always looking for home games (and often has to pay to get teams to come w/o a return match), I'd just be very surprised if they didn't demand a home-and-home from Charleston.

I believe Nan and Pap are correct because I remember the game at charleston being sought specifically to fit into that road trip and nothing more at the time and it was announced as a single game. If there is a second game it was not a part of the original deal.

I found a blog entry by Jim Fuller that listed what we know about the schedule as of April 2. No CofC on the list:

The Huskies are always challenged by their non-conference and next season is no different. UConn will play 11 teams which finished in the top 25 in the final Associated Press poll including home games against No. 1 Baylor, No. 4 Notre Dame, No. 5 Maryland, No. 6 Duke, No. 11 Penn State and road games against No. 2 Stanford, No. 4 Notre Dame and No. 22 Texas A&M. The Big East schedule grid will need to be adjusted since West Virginia is leaving.

UConn will also play at Hartford and Oregon and play three games in the U.S. Virgin Islands. While the complete field for the Paradise Jam has not been announced Purdue and Wake Forest are among the teams UConn could draw.

And Geno wanted a warm weather game (in a city with good restaurants!) on the trip back from Waco. I'm pretty sure there is no return date.

Yes.
