Reibe in the portal

He's a great cultural fit, but he absolutely has to improve his defense and make smarter plays out there.
I am not trying to be critical, and I absolutely understand what you’re looking at and concluding, BUT Ball also started every game for a team that was the sixth best in the country per the selection committee over the course of the season and ran to the championship game and gave the national champ a game. And yet, we’re all critical of this player for one thing and another player for another. Is it possible that Solo is a really good player (obviously didn’t shoot the 3 ball well enough this year) and our expectation are just silly high? Do we demand every player be a first team conference?

100% on Solo. He's a warrior, he loves UConn as much as anyone has ever loved UConn, and everyone should want him back for his senior season. Dude played through extreme pain most of the season and his game suffered for it. You never heard a peep out of him complaining about it, he played through it for his teammates/the program.
I really want Solo to go out with a successful season. Just like I didn't want Alex's Junior year to be his last year as a Husky. I expect Solo to come back as a man on a mission.

I still can’t believe he didn’t wanna come back for his sophomore year. If you take our culture, the coaching, our fans , the ride we were on this year , the program brand , the minutes he was gonna get etc. can’t remember a player in the Hurley era, leaving under these conditions. Weird.

This is borderline cringe - so much so that I had to look it up myself. 😂
Someone else mentioned he was dating a UConn women's player just like Alleyne did for our 2023 team and transferred. I was curious to see who it was as I didn't even know it was out in the open.

Cheli is a good player. She was out injured, but I'm looking forward to seeing how she does next season.
He would have done well to copy her style of play, energetic and enthusiastic.

Timberlake Part 2 but with dumb fouls instead of terrible shooting. If the stupid fouls don’t drive Bill Self to an early retirement, his “camp” full of busybodies may do the trick.

Rule #2 of the Boneyard: All takes age poorly
How did my take age poorly? I would say I was right on the mark. Hurley was already alluding to challenges from Reibe’s family/agent months ago. And he chose to mention it in a post-game presser. The fact that I brought it up two months ago and not one yarder acknowledged or responded to it just might show that most people here had their heads in the sand at the time. Well, I did get one like on that post. From @Chief00 … today.

Apparently Dan Hurley is going to have to come up with a new team rule.

One of my favorite things that Kirby Smart does is to go off on how only soft player would want to leave his program (even if he knows it isn't true). It sets a tone.

But if you look at the recent UConn outs over the last few years....
