Refs jobbed UConn tonight. Disgraceful.

Refs are horrible but it's not why we are losing. Our whole offense today was the three ball and we are not a good shooting team. Our defense was lousy, our rebounding was just awful and we are clueless on how to run a fastbreak. It seems like all of our flaws are coming to the forefront lately. Not sure what Ollie has them doing in practice but they are getting worse.

So because you are mad at UConn, the refs are calling the game even. Got it.
I present facts. Getting killed on the boards is the difference. Shouldn't you be in Providence lobbying for an invite to the Big East?

Currently being outrebounded 42-23. Offensive rebounds 16-3. 16 to flipping 3. Refs have been bad on both sides. Blaming refs is fools gold. 42-23. Team is soft

So you're right, others are wrong, including the unbiased color guys.

Now they are gong to call the foul on these Stanford bastards on the UConn drive to the hole!

Do you think this could possibly have ANYTHING to do with Stanford hammering people down low, over the back constantly, while UConn's bigs foul out for breathing? We have Facey playing center.

blame nolan for being useless.
blame ollie for sitting in his recliner, all game long.
blame brimah for not being able to rebound.
blame samuel for not being able to dribble a basketball.
blame the entire team's lack of defense and boxing out.

don't freakin blame the refs.
only losers find excuses where there aren't any.

sure the refs weren't great but we lose regardless

.-.
Just wondering if non P-5 conference teams are just automatically going to jobbed by P-5 refs.

Yes they could have played better, but seriously looked at the amount of free throws Stanford took to UConn, it huge. 5 free throws, come on. The should have had more fouls in this game, which would have changed how they played. We did not get the calls when fouled when shooting. That would have been a big difference maker. Not saying UCONN would have won, but the game would have played out a lot closer because it would have changed the game play

Nastic should have fouled out at around the 10 minute mark of the second half, and Brimah shouldn't have fouled out. Completely different game if that happened.

.-.
The refs sucked. So did we. If Stanford hit shots off of the offensive rebounds on the first half, we would have lost by 20+.

Called out bad reffing. Sure. You think that's why we lost? Seriously? That is the losers lament. Everyone complains about the refs when Puke wins a game but the reality is that the more aggressive team always gets the calls. UConn got outrebounded 2-1 tonight which is a direct reflection on aggression or lack thereof. Blaming refs is just bull Shiite and shows a lack of understanding of how the game is played.

He got a boo boo flopping on an Omar drive that woulda cost him a hefty fine in the NBA. Good for him!

I believe it was 20-12 in foul differential, absolutely no way Stanford only committed 12 fouls the entire game that's bs. Not the reason they lost but it sure didn't help.

Brimah gets at least 2 phantom calls against him per game. Tonight he got
At least 3-4. It's not good at all. That was bad officiating tonight.

Were we not driving as hard as them? Going after boards like them? Team finally playa with fire and a scrub like Nastic gets superstar treatment all night.

We got outrebounded by 2 to 1 tonight. Wasn't even close. Team is soft. You can hate me for not blaming the refs but the reality is that this team is soft on the boards which leads to extra possessions which leads to more fouls. Jesus...you really want to blame the refs for this?

When you don't know what you are talking about, shut up.

The reason intelligent basketball people have a problem with the way Duke games are officiated is because Duke is a stationary jump shooting team, and has been for 20 years. They don't play more aggressive than their opponents, so they shouldn't be getting the calls they get.

As for tonight, you are sounding like an entitled fan who is ranting against UConn from his couch because the team is not winning. The refs were a problem tonight, as the announcers said repeatedly on the broadcast. Stop arguing that they weren't.

I hope the refs are graded on their calls because there are Dads refereeing youth league games that do a better job. There were some blatant homer calls tonight.

Go to Providence and camp out at BE headquarters. I'm trying to bring some sanity to this board. Refs lost this game? Seriously?

If an official called a youth league game like tonight, most leagues would never let that official work that league's games again.

refs were atrocious no doubt. all our players were getting handchecked, and stanford was super aggressive on the glass. home cooking simple put.

who is this skiblets dude trying to talk hoops. stay over there bruh

It was a tight game for more than 30 minutes. The officiating worked against UConn's effort to hold onto or build a lead by killing momentum, limiting/eliminating opportunities, altering personnel and affecting style of play. I counted several obvious fouls on UConn. Stanford wasn't robbed once. They even reversed calls at UConn's expense (my replay works just fine). The officiating kept UConn in check, which eventually created the space Stanford needed to pull away. Was the officiating the sole reason UConn lost? No (we had plenty of self-inflicted missteps), but it gave the other team an unfair edge to have the game fall in their favor.

James..PM me and we can talk. I love the pigskin but ....well just PM me bruh

Rebounding and turnovers were the difference. Not the 3-4 fouls that weren't called. Maybe they lose by only 8 if they were.

Outside of Brimahs 5th and a couple no calls on some drives we had the refs weren't the problem. The team was just flat offensively and soft on the glass. Boat also didn't play well and we don't have anyone to pick up the slack if Boat isn't scoring ~20 pts and doing all the other Boat things he usually does.

Soft teams foul a lot?
