Casting doubt on a coach's status is not a new concept. It was done to us plenty towards the end of Calhoun's tenure.

This has a lot to do with Recruiting at UCONN as it shows what most coaches will use against other coaches to get a recruit. As I have said previously, we are still paying dearly for Coach Calhoun's last 2 seasons and Kevin Ollie 6 months contract at UCONN. Other coaches told recruits Coach Calhoun was sick and he was dying and wouldn't be at UCONN much longer. Kevin Ollie will only be there temporarily as he was only giving a 6 months contract. Judge Kevin Ollie's progress next season. If the negativity continues and he's not able to win and bring in talented players he will be gone after next season. You need talented players to win.

what does the six month contract in 2012 have to do with any part of our current situation?

They have a lot more ammo now than they did back then.

Nothing at all. Everyone that UConn would have been recruiting at that time would have graduated by now.

This is pure gold:

1) Boneyard says we need to fire Ollie immediately
2) Boneyard complains that “rumors” of Ollie getting fired is hurting recruiting
3) Boneyard then uses “poor recruiting” as a reason to fire Ollie (repeat steps 1-3 until you believe them to be reality)

How about he just does the job he's paid over 3 million per year to do.

How about you support the team you are a fan of.
What's wrong with demanding more of the team you root for when the product has been consistently poor for an extended period of time? We're just supposed to keep beating our head into a brick wall? Of course we all want UConn to succeed. But at some point when they aren't measuring up to historical standards, something has to change. What is wrong with demanding and expecting excellence instead of mediocrity??

The ramifications from the 6 months contract caused us from loosing quality recruits in 2013 and 2014. He was unable to get the type of players he wanted to play his system. Enoch, Durham, Vital, and Jackson were jambalaya without the right recipe. He scraped together those players last minute. The loses the past few seasons hurt because he were unable to get the quality and type of players he wanted in 2013 and 2014. With the current loses and negativity, recruits are thinking twice about coming to UCONN now.

Incessantly repeating negative innuendo about the coach is not supportive of the team.

It’s not innuendo.

It’s actual real quantifiable (lack of) results that people are reacting to.

Other schools are in these kids ears about the stuff I choose not to repeat on the board and you think I'm the problem. This place is crazy town. Uconn basketball is way bigger than any one person.

How about we let the coach actually COACH this team with all new players for more than a month before calling for him to be fired?
Who isn't letting him coach the team? The all new players thing is one of the more ridiculous things that is constantly brought up on this board. Gee, I wonder why we have a whole new team?
