Very interesting.

Somewhat OT, but Shaq Aaron (Q) played on my son's club team in 8th grade for a couple of tournaments, the SoCal Aces (after he left the RC Bulls). Back then he was a rail thin, SF with excellent ball handling skills and could score at will and a very good shooter to the three pt line. I unfortunately, had to coach against him (and his RC Bulls) a couple times in youth club ball. Shaq went on to play his Freshman year at Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Ca; the top HS in all of Southern Ca for hoops) and had a great season. For whatever reason he transferred to Taft and was ineligible his Soph year. Speculation was he would transfer to a HS in Apple Valley, Ca (his actual home town) for his Jr year, but instead he wound up at Rainier Beach in Wa. If he would stay put...he would probably be towards the very top of any list (at least top 20).

As far as actual hoops is concerned, there was no one significantly better than him in his grade level in SoCal (through last year). The closest would be Stanley Johnson, Bryan Alberts, and Jordan McLaughlin with Parker Jackson-Cartwright (P-funk) just behind. The younger Hamilton kid is good too (but way over-ranked on espn), he is probably the fifth best player on his HS team, his older brother, Tyler Dorsey (beast! and only a Soph.), Brian Nebo and Darien Williams are all better.

@OntheRadarHoops: UCONN in attendance to watch 2014 PF Phil Cofer @LifeisDeep_ Whitewater (GA)

@DaveTelep: Kevin Ollie. He's slippery. Missed him earlier. He was here for Okafor and 2016 wing Tyus Battle.

Okafor is Jahlil Okafor.

@B_WRecruiting: Kevin Ollie just on ESPNU. Watching Salesian(CA) and Gonzaga(DC).

Gonzaga high school is known for pretty good football. Possibly he was recruiting players for Pasqualoni since they are a bit short-handed on the recruiting trail?

Glenn Miller is watching Rashard Figures right now.

@TheRecruitScoop: Nova, Rutgers, RMU, GMU, Drexel, UConn, FDU, Delaware, St. Joe's & more watching Abdul Lewis, Taurean Thompson, Kody Jenkins & more.

Not in love with that company; hopefully KO can uncover a few gems.

@TheRecruitScoop: UConn has offered 2015 Bishop O'Dowd (CA) big man Ivan Rabb. North Carolina recently offered.
