I wrote this in the game thread - if we want to be a consistent Top15 team we need to bring in kids that can play right away. This year is an anomaly because we had so many transfers, but if you look at the bigmen who are left they were all project types when recruited.

Not a major loss, I want him but he's kind of similar to T Samuel. As someone else pointed out the other day the biggest recruiting for guards KO needs to do for 2013 is to keep Bazz and Boat here for next season. Smith has been tight with UNLV for awhile now so this isn't surprising, seems like the staff went back to him once XRM and Austin ships sailed, too late at that point.

Agreed ace, nice player on film heard rumors of high TO's so maybe a little wild and not a good looking perimeter game........can get to the hole obviously and good quickness but we will need some shooters when Bazz and Boat leave so now is the time to start looking for strokers!!

I could be off on this one, but I think he would actually be a better fit at UConn. He isn't ready next year and UNLV will need him to be because their PG situation sucks. At UConn he would have time to learn and develop, which I think he can.

I agree, but I'd imagine one of the biggest reasons he's going there is because he sees that they lack a PG and will play immediately. Once I saw them play UNC Saturday the first thought that popped in my head is that they have no PG.

Not sure how good they will be next year. They aren't great this year even with Bennett and he must be gone by next year. Moser could go (though he is having a disappointing year). Birch looks OK but nothing special. Roscoe will help on defense but won't bring a ton offensively.

Can UConn go into Georgia and grab both Ahmed Hill and Reed? I know Hill supposedly likes Ollie alot and the Ricky Moore connection can't hurt.
