You're an F1 noob and you have never seen good racing.
I'm not an F1 noob, I've seen good racing, and this season is damn interesting. Hell, my 15 year old daughter is totally immersed in it (with zero prompting from me - she knows more about what's going on than I do). And the legit comp between team mates Piastri and Lando for the drivers' title is fun.

Also, not seeing Red Bull win makes me smile.

The hybrid era is awful. The cars are way too big. Monaco was even worse than it usually is. I think you have forgotten what good racing looks like. Also none of these drivers are remotely likeable.

Max is obviously the most talented driver out there still and it’s not even close.

Has anybody passed anybody else yet this season?

They want to revel in the greatness of the undercut and the overcut.

They need to bring back refueling, ditch the hybrids and maybe not have 35 guys servicing a car on a two second pit stop.

But really the cars are just too big.

Just watched La Gran Belleza (The Great Beauty). I believe I posted about another 1 or 2 Sorrentino films earlier in this thread. Another good one, Toni Servillo is a great actor.

I see why people don’t like his films, they’re extravagant, self-indulging and jump around a lot. I just like them for some reason. I really like the slight and underscored mixing of fantasy and reality in them. I enjoyed his newest film, Parthenope seemingly more than anyone I know as well as critics. If nothing else, they are absolutely beautiful films.

Also, on Italians portrayed in the movies….everyone thinks every Italian family is the one from Moonlighting. Also, Joe Mantegna needs to apologize to every Italian for his entire career.
Moonlighting? With Cybill Shepherd & Bruce Willis?

Which character was Italian?

Probably meant Moonstruck with Cher and Cage.
No kidding.

That's two jokes the past couple of days that went completely over your head (cuisine in Georgia being the other).

Somebody needs to teach you how to write jokes. Maybe Dove can help as he's the 174th funniest person on the internet.

I don't even recall anything on Georgia cuisine. Although I love the fried chicken in Atlanta.

Just watched Air again. Great source material and Affleck is so good. His decision to never use an actor to portray Jordan was perfect and it all builds to the Matt Damon Sonny Vaccaro sales pitch/speech which shows what Jordan's life and career will be with all the Jordan clips throughout his career. It's emotional and incredible film making.

It’s like we called central casting and told them to send up a grumpy old man and they sent you.

Stop watching. Solved.

Fountain of Youth on Apple+

Freaking awful

If you like F1, I do. There is a documentary and a six-part mini series on Ayrton Senna. Both are very, very good. He raced in a time, not so long ago, when death on the track was a regular feature of season. His story is compelling and both the series and movie are worth your time.

Sinners. Michael B. Jordan stars as Smoke and Stack. Directed and written by Ryan Coogler. Set in 1930s Mississippi with a heavy musical emphasis, touching on some traditions and spiritual beliefs. Beautifully filmed, really solid acting and writing. Can’t say much without spoilers but this was very good.

Snow White, then Moana 2? Isn’t your daughter in her 20s? What are you doing, my guy?

BFG, on Disney+

It's about a giant, an orphan, more giants, the Queen of England and some helicopters.

Steven Spielberg directed it, quite entertaining. Mark Rylance is good in everything.

BFG combines the magic of Spielberg, Disney and the spirit of Deepster and gets 3.5 out of five Deepsters and a rating of Deeply Good+

1 Deepster - Awful
2 Deepsters - Average
3 Deepsters - Good
4 Deepsters - Wonderful
5 Deepsters - Fantastic

BFG is a Roald Dahl book. Same author as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Big upgrade from DEI Snow White.

Whoever. They writes ‘em, I reviews ‘em.

In retrospect, making Snow White kinda ugly was a misstep.
