I started this thread the first time my house was about to go under contract, but fell through. But all is good and need a moving company that works the bristol area, licensed, and insuranced. Any one used a good company? I will take bad experience also to cross names of my list....seriously thanks...

Any contact names would be great

When we moved in-state we used Father & Sons. The main office is in Boston but they have an office in Wallingford. When we moved 5 1/2 years ago, I asked several people to recommend a mover and three people recommended them. I did get 3 quotes and their price was among the best. We were also very happy with the move itself - the guys knew what they were doing, were quick and professional. The toll free phone is 888-418-2121.

Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT use Capitol Moving and Storage, which is an affiliate of United Van Lines. I've had good experiences with United, but this particular affiliate gouged me. My move ended up 45% more expensive than they estimated. And they were incredibly rude and uncaring about it. It gives me great joy to think I might be preventing them from getting business. I hate them that much.

We recently used GeoMetric Moving and Storage out of Middletown. They were on time and worked hard. We were satisfied. Their billing fees were decent, too.

I recommend Fishy's Moving and Storage. They're not the cheapest company around, but they're caring and dedicated. I think you'll find the extra money well-spent.

Unrelated note - I need five Boneyarders who own pickup trucks and who are willing to work for an hourly rate. Slackers and the infirm need not apply.

Let's not get bogged down with details - you have enough on your plate without all that legalese filling your head.

Just put your s*** in boxes and your cash in an envelope and let's do this thing.

Estimates are for amateurs.

We'll discuss it when your stuff is safely on the truck.

I want to make a ethnic recommendation but I lost my 'enter' key cap.
