I know a lot of this will be determined on new TV deals coming up. When UCONN is invited to a P5, when would it be announced? Would they announce it before the TV deal, during or after? I know it is beating a dead horse, but for now we have to right the ship in Football and Basketball (easier than FB), pound this conference we are in and move on. I just hope we can continue to recruit kids off our past traditions and future conference, because at some point, and probably now, coaches recruiting against us are/will be using our current conference against us based TV exposure,etc.. I believe in UCONN, Warde and Susan.. We will get this done! Go Huskies..

How long before this thread turns into a "shut down football" argument? They all do, might as well start it on page 1.

We need to abolish all sports invest heavily in research to improve our AAU status. Once we are AAU bring back Football and one women's sport and we will be a football focus university primed for a B1G invite.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

The if and when questions are unanswerable, but the OP is right to give full faith to the prez and AD. To all appearances, they seem to be doing everything they can, and doing it right. Given all the politics at any university, that in and of itself is a miracle on the order of the loaves and fishes.

UConn appears to be in good hands: now it's time to go all Rudy and just have a little faith.

pound this conference? UCONN's what second year in the Gulag and it is getting pounded. Teams have a tendency to play to their competition so IF football can rise to the competition, it can hope to be successful and fight for an AAC championship...down the road. Basketball? Time is not our friend in the Gulag. UCONN needs a lifeline soon and should make the announcement as soon as the lifeline is cast.

Who, that incompetent failure Manuel? Sure

Every AD in America not named Tom Jurich has, shall we say, shortcomings. From my outsider perspective on the realignment issue, I'm inclined to give Warde the benefit of any doubt.

...ahhhhh Emily

I'm not sure Emily is impressed with your reverence. She never mentioned you during the Army game. :)

The B1G is the only P5 conference that has yet to sign a long-term television contract. All others are locked in for many years.
