Burns had 35 yards after the game was decided vs Purdue (running out the clock on the last drive of the 1st half and then in a couple of carries in the 2nd); but other than that had a total of 5 carries for 6 yards. He really hasn't been a factor with the first offense all season.

I haven’t watched every minute of every game. Don’t even remember what game it was, but happened to tune in when he was in, looked really tough to bring down. Not jackrabbit quick but he got his yardage, and usually took two or more guys to bring him down.

I don't know if Burns is hurt but he and Carter in the backfield is something I would like to see going forward. Put Rose on the line of scrimmage and have Marion and Clercius out wide.

Randy was such a dunderhead about the modern kid. Teach them via positive vibes. Positive vibes only for most all kids in most all situations. Of course there are time when you have to switch it up, but for the most part if you want the best out of people you can’t be grumpy square capitalism negative.

And you have to be sincere- people know when it’s not

Randy was trying to be Bill Belichick. That style doesn't work in college anymore.

Yeah, generally it doesn’t… although probably some winning programs with established habits might be able to get away with a lot more of the hard a** discipline culture than the losing programs that lost a game to an FCS program for example.

Here at Randy land 2.0 it was decided that the best way to build a team is to spank it into submission indefinitely.

One of the consequences of the “just execute” environment is that kids play tight because they are overthinking to avoid being lectured during the film breakdown. You can’t win playing tight. And this team has reeked tightness for four years. Way too tight. Until now.

I hate auto correct sometimes- swap “capitalism” for “captain”
