Give at least 92 million of it to uncle Sam.

Smart move playing in Florida with no state income tax. In Connecticut his 20 million over two years would have had close to a million taken out just by the state. Not sure what the Mass number is, but it about the same.

No agent, just a lawyer to review language. Saved a bundle.
% Commission RE Agents aren't long for this world. Redfin is coming, and its a much more pleasant experience.

Pro athlete taxes are actually incredibly complex to figure. They have to pay some income tax in most of the states and some cities they play in. There are some really weird complex situations. But at least half of his salary would be tax free for the games played in Florida. Interesting Link

I bought my current house via Redfin which I stumbled on by accident because I couldn't find something on Zillow. Saved me thousands. Great way to buy a house.

His house on the CT river in Otter Cove is pretty.

Thought Allen resided in West Hartford. Did he move? I think Otter Cove is in Old Saybrook, if so, that's a VERY nice area to live in.

Ray never lived in West Hartford but his mother does or did. Ray used to play golf at Rockledge (sometimes with KO) a few times a year when he visited. Haven't seen him there in awhile.

I took care of Ray a number of times when I was a bag boy at Tower Ridge back in the day. Good guy. Karl Ravich? Not so much. D!ckhead.

In CT, or outside Boston? I wasn't aware they were in CT yet.

Its really beautiful. Northern riverfront tip of Old Saybrook. Whole neighborhood association is basically 2-5 acre lots, riverfronts, marshes and woods, with lots of privacy. I think he bot his place two years ago. I Had family that lived there up until last year.
