1. Abrosimova - 3x All-American, 4x All Big East, Can be placed on the mountain top with the best UConn players ever!
2. Nurse - The only reason she is not a Husky of Honor is she played with so many great players couldn't get enough AA votes!
3. Edwards - Has consistently been a force in her 4 years at UConn!
4. Muhl - Has a real shot at passing MoJeff as all-time Asst. leader! Unbelievable looking at her freshman year!
5. Juhasz - In 2 years the improvement was through the roof! If she started at UConn she would have been an All-American by graduation!
6. Schumacher - Still holds the NCAA title game record of 11 blocks! A steady, dependable big girl at 6'5"!
7. Lopez-Senechal - Lou's only problem on this list is she only played 1 year here! Another if she played 4 years at UConn she'd have been an AA!
8. Makurat - Shouldn't have left for more playing time as the injuries would have given her a real shot to star!
9. Bettencourt - She showed in the European Tournament last summer she can be a force to be reckoned with! Maybe one of Geno's greatest mistakes so far, IMHO!
10. Rigby - Too slow a foot to really be a challenger, but had decent skills!
11. Grossman - I can not make an intelligent opinion as I really never saw her play!

I agree. I can't imagine putting anyone else in front of Svet. She's not on UConn's Mt. Rushmore but she's real high up in the foothills. How about we say Svet is #1 and everyone else is tied for #2?

OK, stirring up semi-dead brain cells here, but I think at one point in time Svet held the UConn record for the fastest player to reach 500 points in her freshman year. I imagine, if no one else, Paige broke that record.
I have Sveta on Tier 1 (just below Mt Storrs), along with Lobo, Bird, Charles, Jefferson.

I believe #RESHERMVIKES has it right. Some people probably don't remember or don't know that Sveta came here as a 17 year old and was the equivalent of a High School senior in the U.S. She was great from the start, but of course had to go through the American way of playing basketball, much like Nika had to do.

This was a good list until you got to number nine. One of Geno’s biggest mistakes?! Do you watch them practice? You do know that absolutely no DI or D2 team offered her a scholarship, right?! Was every coach in America wrong about her?

Boreifs- - If you really read my post I said IMHO I thought Ines deserves more PT! She was pretty much an unknown that I think could really help the team and be 1 more playing piece to the puzzle that makes the season!
Who's to say that Ines couldn't become a Nika clone, who wasn't well thought of nationally being a foreign player! And still draws hateful comments after all she's proven!
Remember Svetlana Abrosimova was a 17 Russian player who was an unknown and she turned out pretty good for Geno and UConn!
You have your opinion and I have mine and we'll just have to agree to disagree! Please don't tell me what my opinion should be!

I never told you what your opinion should be. How you got that from my post is rather curious.

You were questioning why and how I could make that statement! That I didn't attend practices and no other Division I or II school offered her a scholarship, etc. if that isn't questioning my opinion/statement what is!
In YOUR OPINION I had NO basis for posting that!

I apologize if I offended you. That was not my intention.

There was also Batouly Camara, who probably would have been a contributor, but was always injured. Clearly the worst was an Australian player named McCormick(can't remember her first name) who was here for one year, during which CT residents payed for her surgery (knee, I think) and then vanished without playing a minute.

Ines Bettencourt
And, in the future, but also on the team with INES: Jana El Alfy.
and a possible future Huskie, Born in Spain: Sarah Strong, but of course.
she "is" a USA Player, with an international (out of this world) pedigree, so to speak.

I think Touly was born in NYC, but did play for the Guinean national team.

There was also Evelyn Adebayo, born in London, who was here for a couple of years and didn't play much.

For me, #1 is a no brainer in Svet and no one else is even close. Just look at @RSHERMVIKES comments on her.
#2 is Aaliyah as she did earn 3rd team AP All-American last year
#3. Kia and while true she played with 3 AAs in KLS, Napheesa and Gabby I am still not convinced she would have made an AP 1st team or the WBCA 10 member team if one them wasn’t on the team. She did get an Honorable Mention 2x’s (2017 & 2018) so she was really good.
#4. Nika who got HM last year and has been a huge contributor all 4 years.
#5. Lou who also got an HM last year and while I shudder to think how we would have been without her, she only played 1 year for us.

I am indifferent between Kelly and Dorka but after them is a huge drop off to Anna.

This was an interesting thread so kudos to @cohenzone for posting.
