Seth Davis can be a troll but he’s usually not a total moron. Jeff Goodman is a troll and a professional idiotkinda surprised Seth is giving us an 8. Him and Goodman are our biggest critics. Goodman was doing his typical bs the other day saying how he's known Hurley a long time but still doesnt trust that UConn can win the whole thing cause of him and that we have a lack of PG that's going to make it tough.

Slow day at work so I dug into it a bitI'm sorry the fact that so many of these AP writers have us 14 and lower is ridiculous. Every metric has us top 10. We have dominated the last month and then some. Judging us by the St Johns loss still is absurd. Its just 1 spot but you can't look at us and think this team doesn't belong in the top 13 yet 14 voters did.
The B12 is good but some people may be a bit carried away with just how good they think it is.I don't get the love for Baylor. They got pummeled by Marquette, and they lost home and away to Iowa State, who we dominated on a neutral court. They're OK, I guess, but the eye test and metrics would certainly seem to indicate we're better.
Playing to their ranking means just beating Providence. The semi-final match up is against a higher ranked Marquette. So the predictive metrics has UConn as a 2 seed, performative metric (AP) have them as a 3. Really difficult to see the team any lower than that if they play to their ranking in BET
Would have been nice to be #10, but at least we jumped Virginia, who is still overrated.
1-1 in MSG would be disappointing but should still be deserving of a 3Playing to their ranking means just beating Providence. The semi-final match up is against a higher ranked Marquette.
yeah we might already be on the 3 line because of that. they cant go on a deep run in the SEC tourney though.Voters took Tennessee's loss of Zeigler as very significant.
I'll go further.....any AP voter that has UConn lower than #12 is not paying attention.I'm sorry the fact that so many of these AP writers have us 14 and lower is ridiculous. #11 would be a 3 seed.Slightly disappointing... clearly a lot of bias against us/the Big East, no other explanation. KenPom 4, Net 6, BPI 5, T-Rank 5 + the eye test and current streak is impressive. It doesn't matter though...looking like we'll be a 4 seed assuming the committee continues to lean on the AP Rankings (and likely will not consider the BET and at this point, given the clear bias I doubt even if we win it changes anything). Hopefully ammo for the team. And honestly, would rather be a 4 if it means we're in the East vs a 3 somewhere else. Lets go!!
It's really quite surprising isn't it?I'm sorry the fact that so many of these AP writers have us 14 and lower is ridiculous. Every metric has us top 10. I'll say it for the millionth time.......that's why these polls, that so many of you get all bothered about, are 100% completely meaningless.I'm sorry the fact that so many of these AP writers have us 14 and lower is ridiculous. 10. They like us again.#12
this meaningless poll is responsible for way too many of the happy or sad chemicals that my brain producesI'll say it for the millionth time.......that's why these polls, that so many of you get all bothered about, are 100% completely meaningless.
