#11 is my thought. I think it would be a nice bit of added motivation for the BET since Hurley thinks we should be top ten.

kinda surprised Seth is giving us an 8. Him and Goodman are our biggest critics. Goodman was doing his typical bs the other day saying how he's known Hurley a long time but still doesnt trust that UConn can win the whole thing cause of him and that we have a lack of PG that's going to make it tough.
Seth Davis can be a troll but he’s usually not a total moron. Jeff Goodman is a troll and a professional idiot

This is the most important ranking of the year. Clearly the committee values the rankings as seen by the top 16 reveal. With other rumors that the bracket is pretty much set by mid-week, if we end up top 10 and a 3-seed I can't see us moving up or down before Selection Sunday.

Big East Ranks…

RV Providence (20)
24. Creighton (NR)
15. Xaiver (19)
11. UConn (14)
6. Marquette (-)

Nice Creighton got a bump to replace Providence woes.

Voters took Tennessee's loss of Zeigler as very significant. Dropped them 5 spots for an away loss to Auburn. That is after beating a decent Arkansas team by 18 when Zeigler only played 3 minutes after the injury. Dropping 5 spots this late in the season for a road loss is rare. Don't know what the 10 people that had UConn at 15 or lower are watching. I guess that is a general lack of respect for the BE

I'm sorry the fact that so many of these AP writers have us 14 and lower is ridiculous. Every metric has us top 10. We have dominated the last month and then some. Judging us by the St Johns loss still is absurd. Its just 1 spot but you can't look at us and think this team doesn't belong in the top 13 yet 14 voters did.

Slow day at work so I dug into it a bit

18 - Aria Gerson. Had us at 18 last week. I guess 2 double digit wins doesn't move the needle, even when many teams ahead of us lost
17 - Andrew Kahn and Dylan Sinn. Kahn had us at 18 last week, Sinn had us as 19
16 - Bob Ballou, Dave Preston, David Jablonski. Ballou and Preston had us 18, Jablonski had us 19
15 - Adam Cole, David Cloninger, Jeff Call, Jeff Welsch. Cole had us 20, Cloninger 19, Call and Welsch 16

Other than Aria, seems like they just had UConn at a low starting position after last week. The others bumped up UConn 2-5 spots

I don't get the love for Baylor. They got pummeled by Marquette, and they lost home and away to Iowa State, who we dominated on a neutral court. They're OK, I guess, but the eye test and metrics would certainly seem to indicate we're better.

So the predictive metrics has UConn as a 2 seed, performative metric (AP) have them as a 3. Really difficult to see the team any lower than that if they play to their ranking in BET

The B12 is good but some people may be a bit carried away with just how good they think it is.

Playing to their ranking means just beating Providence. The semi-final match up is against a higher ranked Marquette.
