Pretty sure he had us in the 20’s before the Nova game. Another pretty sizable jumpCBSSports.com has UConn #15 (before today's games though).
UConn is 12-7 in the first two quadrants with victories over Auburn and Marquette. The Huskies' next game is Sunday at Georgetown.
I guess Gary Parrish wasn't too impressed with UConn's win over Villanova.

College basketball rankings: Gonzaga remains atop Top 25 And 1 despite season-finale loss to Saint Mary's
A historic day across college hoops the top six teams in the AP Top 25 poll lose on the same daywww.cbssports.com
You good, you don't have to explain yourself. We all look at the schedule in the beginning of the year, for example, and try to guess which games we will win. That's Fandom 101. "Focusing on the game at hand" is a coach-speak media lie, even for players and staff. Hurley and the boys are aware of other games, and they are definitely looking forward to the tourney. Don't get it twistedTo reiterate - was hoping we could use this thread to track games this weekend that could impact our ranking Monday, and assumes (mojo I know) we don’t fall into the Georgetown trap game Sunday.
Murray also beat Belmont by 33. Belmont would probably upset Providence in the 1st round if they ever got in. Ohhh but that's right Providence is a 2 or 3 seed so that can't happen! lol19. Everybody ahead of us won except for Illinois. I think we pass them and Murray State who scraped by against a bad SEMO team.
Eighteen
Arkansas had won 11 of their last 12 games after that week with the only loss being at a top 25 team by 1 point. Went from 54 to 19 in KenPom over that stretch. The polls were adjusting.Last week Arkansas vaulted up 5 spots from 23 to 18, and they beat the #16 seed in Tennessee at the time, at home. I don’t see any way we don’t jump up at least 3-4 spots this week with that win over #8 Villanova, we deserve to be a top 15 team the way we are playing. We shall see.
I know what youre saying but don't you think rankings influence seeding?Rankings couldn’t mean less at this point. It’s all about seeding.
Parrish was very enthusiastic about UConn on CBS Sports Channel after the game. He mentioned Huskies as his top pick to make the Final Four from among those not currently in the top 16.CBSSports.com has UConn #15 (before today's games though).

The problem is nobody lost between basically number 11 to number 20. Hence we don’t move up much. In a normal week with normal losses I think we would be in the 14/15 range for the ranking but nobody really lost except for like one team in that range other than the top 10 and they’re not dropping them below usLast week Arkansas vaulted up 5 spots from 23 to 18, and they beat the #16 seed in Tennessee at the time, at home. Fair point, but like auror said above, this could be an adjustment week for us like it was for Arkansas last week. Realistically we were higher earlier in the season and then we had our covid pause which knocked us down after losing to seton hall and again during the 2 game skid vs Creighton and xavier. Just because everyone won ahead of us, doesn’t mean we can’t leap those teams if we have a bigger win then they do, and are on a win streak, and people see us as back and deserving of a higher seed. The problem is nobody lost between basically number 11 to number 20. I know. But he has our 2 best wins being Auburn and Marquette. Don't you think he should mention Villanova in there? That's what I thought was strange.Parrish was very enthusiastic about UConn on CBS Sports Channel after the game. Ranking wise it may not be a big deal, but for the players and coaches it's a milestone they haven't hit yet.Just win on Wednesday.
he honestly probably just drags and drops the teams around and just updates the records and sometimes forgets about the blurbs. I wouldn't read too much into it.I know.
