Ramdom Music Fridays

Everyone of Johnny's songs were a love song. We saw him in concert at the O'Keefe Centre (now the Meridian Hall) in Toronto. It was so quiet during his songs but when he finish each songs the audience would rise as one for a standing ovation. Civility ended with groups such as the Clash whose fans destroyed hundreds of seats.
Back then the O'Keefe Centre was (surprise) subsidized by the O'Keefe family of O'Keefe brewery fame. They wished everyone to experience the arts so the last 1/4 or so of the centre's seating was dedicated to $1 seats. Even the great seats we got were only $5. Yes, it was an honor system which seem to work. Of course the $1 seats were to the rear of the hall which is immense.

It's Random Friday, so some Free Beer for all, and a darn good song too:

Not sure which is more fun, the song or the video. They had $100,000 to make the video. And they spent a considerable amount of that $100,000 on alcohol.

Always reminds me of summer.

Steal My Sunshine - Len

I've always thought this was a great song.

Football season is here, and the UCONN ladies will soon play, so its a "Happy Time".

George Harrison, his Apple Scruffs song, and a great video of the Beatles over the years:

This is a wicked cool song that kind of came out of nowhere for me. It's from Arjen Lucassen, who's known for his metal bands, but this is kind of dreamy progressive rock.

This is a gorgeous song from the first Gentle Giant album:

Michael Dinner, from I believe his one and only album entitled "The Great Pretender".

The song is Jamaica, just a delifghful island tune with those wonderful steel drums throughout:
