He's the player of the week down in whatever down yonder in Georgia he hails from. This should also settle the age old question, "How much does Rakim Lubin weigh?"

Forget the 195, 210, 220-pound reports we've seen - article calls him 250 and he looks it here.

Wow. I can only imagine how big he'll be after a few years of college-level strength and conditioning.

Big boy. 250

Most definitely. As aceboon mentioned in the recruiting thread, it's pretty amazing how much of a force Rock's been in Georgia high school hoops this year after transferring in from Alabama. The last outsider to intimidate Georgians this much was named Sherman.

Big matchup this weekend in the championship game against a Tennessee big man commit. On the outside, the soph combo guard we've offered (Simonds) matches up with a Miss. St. commit.

Lubin is going up against CJ Turman in the state final, Tenn commit who is also listed in that 6'8", 250lb range. His 247 composite rank is around 150, so this should be quite the measuring stick for Lubin.

They already matched up this season. I don't have the exact stats anymore but Lubin out performed Thurman. He had like 5 more points and a couple more rebounds.

just checked, Lubin had 18 & 11, not sure how Turman did but Buford High won.

Buford won, so I would guess that Lubin won in the way that matters most. It would be nice to see some more extended video of him to help us get a feel for where his game is at. He could take a bunch of minutes away from some of our other guys if he can learn Ollie's system pretty quickly.

They played twice. The first matchup was first game of the year, Buford didn't have a lot of guys because they were still playing football. Bad guys won. Second game, Buford won and the general consensus was Lubin clearly outplayed Turman (I think Turman scored 10ish) because Lubin has a much, much better motor.

Google both of their names together and you'll see some game reports, including one from a Tennessee board conceding that their boy got outplayed.

This was the game KO saw, which resulted in an immediate offer to Simonds.

Imagine Rock and Brimah patrolling the paint together. Thunder and lightning. Bebop and rock steady. Beautiful

The Rock and The Hard Place.

I can't help it, I'm pretty psyched about this kid.

2014 Hasheem the Dream and Adrien pt. 2 (not saying as good, but similar styles)

Bribop and Raksteady. I can already imagine the signs

Saying that kid is under 200 lbs is an absolute joke, he's a beast!

Does anyone know if he signed a LOI or does he have to wait until April?
