Where did the info come from? There is no way he is 270- 30 pounds in three months would mean he has given up on being a D1 level player.
Let's not worry about this, once in our program they will get him in the shape they need. The pictures do not show a fat guy at all , he looks like a solid piece of muscle. Wish I was "fat" like that. Who is gonna want to challenge him in the paint?

Update: He's up to 275

Never saw a picture of him before.... just googled.

Damn. Dude is a brick shithouse.

It's definitely plausible.

Just ask the workers at north dining hall about me my freshman year.
I asked this during the tournament and never got a satisfactory answer, just a few Likes.

How did UConn ever get you to call the dorms on North Eagleville Road by a direction?

Last century, No one EVER called The Jungle or Frats by North or Northwest, respectively. When did this happen? Did they use "advanced interrogation methods" on you? Where's the One-armed Man? What color was his hair? What color where his eyes? We can't help you until you help us?

"Rakim Lubin up to 270"

Is that his weight or his ranking?!! He's not very highly thought of by the folks who rank the high school kids...

Maybe ko plans to use him similarly to how john chaney used his 275 pound power forwards... "send in the goon!"

The kid is coming to play basketball at the University of Connecticut and will be working to find some time in the line up. He's a big, strong kid who likes to rebound and play around the basket while taking up some needed space we haven't done in a while. Can we let him come here and get his work in and see where he lands in the depth chart before some of these ridiculous assumptions?

Unbelievable how whacked some people get with one piece of information on a recruit……...

It's what make the board so much fun.

I always have to remind myself that some of the posters here are 15 year old HS kids that do not know jack ( 3 is a massive exception to that statement).

I think Husky fans will be pleasantly surprised with Lubin's build and skill set. I really believe he will be an impact player. Very happy to have him on the team.
