Is six BE teams in final Top 25 a record?

Whatever the answer may be, it's pretty darn good.

The Big East NCAA tourney teams went 9 - 0 in their first round
games. Surely that's a record.

The Big East also placed six teams in the Top 25 at the end of the 2008 season. Six, one would imagine, would have to be a record. In 2006 the ACC has the top three teams in the country. That, certainly, has never been duplicated in WCBB. The Big East had the top three teams on the men's side in 1985.
