Never allowed to discuss players who we think may be leaving, but behind the scenes, most of us knew this was a probability. As several have said, no real path for PT, especially given the players coming in (Blanca specifically), and Carol making a comeback.

But on the positive side, she hopefully had a great time, got to play in, and win, a NC game, and I think she will thrive at a school with less talent ahead of her. We KNOW she can shoot and score!

Best of luck, Q. It was a joy watching you play - hope you find success!!

Likely a result of a positive self-assessment by Q. By transferring, she gives herself a better opportunity to meet her professional goals. If she wants to turn pro, gaining strength, quickness, and bball skills could contribute to a European contract where she could evaluate her chances in the W. A transfer to a mid-major, like Bucknell, could be rewarding in playing time and a great degree that statistically pays off in terms of high paying job opportunities. Either case, a win win.

Much success and happiness wherever you end up. Plus, for all eternity you will be a National Champion. Sure, you didn't get a lot of playing time in games, but your participation in practices and events contributed to UConn's success.
Thank you.

As I said in the other thread, Qadence would be an attractive player to almost any other Big East program. If Maryland doesn't get her, hopefully a close-to-her-home school such as Georgetown or Villanova will. It would spice up the Big East games if she were to get major minutes for her new Big East team.

With all due respect to Bucknell, she is way better than that. Can find a home in ACC or SEC where she is competitive for a rotation spot. Saw a couple BC games this year - she would be an immediate upgrade to a rotation spot there. Somebody expressed she could get quicker - I attended all Lady Husky home games this year, and didn't see anyone, I would say was quicker. Not to say that she doesn't have other things to work on, defense, handle etc.

Georgetown maybe? I look at Ines and deberry from last summer. Deberry left the UConn bench for the Maryland bench. I don’t think that is what Q is looking for. I think she wants game action. Ines went to a midmajor and found precisely that. Q should consider doing the same imo.

Though it wouldn't make me happy, she probably would have a better chance with Notre Dame 'cause of the state of their roster.

Sad to hear this but not surprised. Kids want to play and she wasn't getting meaningful time at UConn with the roster the Huskies have. Wish her the best and hope she finds a good program where she can show her stuff and have a great junior and senior year.

A quality mid-major or lower tier major would love to have her. Best of luck.

With all concessions to the things we can't see (practice, academics, etc.), coach's incomparably legacy, I personally found his approach with the kid appalling. Not at all infrequently, endgame, a massive lead, the bench is empty, except for her, until the last minutes. A real testament to the incredible character of the players on this team, that she always appeared, at least in the public eye, engaged, and valued.

Long way from coach's post-game, somber, hallway confession in the immediate aftermath of last season's Iowa semi-final heartbreaker. When asked about regrets, things he might have done differently, he specifically mentioned the lack of playing time afforded Samuels.

So, good for her - hopefully she'll find a spot where her personality and skill set flourish. We'll be watching and rooting.
