Heading out tonight to an upscale dinner in Harrisburg this evening. Friday evening we'll have a quiet evening remembering that 35 years ago my wife said,"Yes," to my proposal from the weekend before.

One more stop today and I'm ready!!!!!!!!! I started last week. Too many things going on to wait until the last minute. Besides, with the snow coming in tomorrow, I would have been in a big bind.

Hopefully weather will clear for Friday and we can go out and have a nice Valentine's Day dinner at one of our local favorite restaurants.

Thanks. Don't have to worry about it though. Wife does not celebrate VD. Doesn't like it. :)

Ditto, only it's my husband who doesn't like it....

Thought she was tricking me the first year, so I bought her a little something. Got nothing from her. So, I was good to go.

Is a PSA about VD really germane to this board anyways? We all went to health class...

I just got my Valentines gift from my wife - A snow rake for the roof. Nothing says romance like a snow rake!

Most of us are too old to worry about it anyway.

I know this is topic drift, but Nan, I like your newly changed avatar; very timely.

Thanks for the reminder. The gift I had covered (Danbury Mint's Valentine Steiff Teddy), what I didn't have was the cards. Took care of that today.

First time since we came to AZ we are not going up to Phoenix, too much good softball this weekend at the UofA.

Mine is the same. It's a fake Hallmark holiday, and an excuse to raise prices on flowers and meals at restaurants. She just wants flowers at random times.

Fake or not, it allows us the excuse to only buy flowers once a year. I have found however that HuskyHawk has found the secret to happiness at home. I have been trained this way myself and it certainly pays dividends (and it's cheaper than Jarods).
