I saw it for about 30 seconds while flipping through channels around midnight. I think it was Miami-Clippers, and it was just after the half ended. Maybe a promo for UConn-Cinci, and the announcers (don't know who, but it sounded like Van Gundy) were saying they always root for KO. Great career, great person, VERY-well respected by all. Thought that was nice of them.

Hubie brown is still the best in the bizz. But Kerr and Van Gundy (more so van gundy) are great.

Love Hubie Brown. He actually explains the game of basketball and what's going on better than any color analyst I've heard from any sport.

Seems unanimous in NBA circles. He used to play golf with Ray at Rockledge occasionally and had a chance to talk to him a bit while he was still in the NBA. He is a real personal nice guy with no airs at all. Ollie is the perfect coach for us. He has excellent college and NBA experience with apparently no aspirations to coach in the NBA.

Yup Hubie is the best, that guy has forgotten more basketball than any of the other guys know.

Now, if there were some way to pair Hubie with Jay Bilas I would have died and gone to heaven. Actually I really like Jeff Van Gundy too. That trio doing either college or pro on a regular basis would be wonderful. One of the great things about Hubie(especially for an "old guy fan" like me...well not REALLY old - 68 years young-) is that he has a real strong knowledge of and respect for the history of the game which often makes the context of his remarks that much more enjoyable.

GO HUSKIES!!!
BEAT THE BEARCATS!!!

Yes he has an unbelievable knowledge of the history of the game but he never sounds like an old fogie. When I was a kid 68 sounded old but these days it's not, Hubie has you by 12 years and he still acts like a young man. Let's kick some Bearcats butt tonight.

Hubie did that recent thunder heat game, loved him talkin lamb. Best is when he goes, "now if you haven't seen this guy..." about x player , who the average nba fan wouldn't give two sh1ts about. Hopefully well get a chance to hear him break down bazz or even drummond ... Or even kemba !(walker and dre haven't played on national tv I believe yet. )
