Prognosticators Tournament Game 2 (Villanova) Predictions

UConn played great their first game out, but they might have to have Paige play PG due to Nika's ankle. Last time they played @Villanova they won 90 - 52 without Nika playing at all. UConn has improved from that game and should have very few problems in beating Nova. Paige will most likely move to PG and AE starts in place of Nika if she isn't able to play. AE also did not play against Nova so that shows how much both Nika and AE have improved during the season. With Anna back, she most likely will be either the first or second off the bench, if she is second then AG is the first off the bench. Geno will have a back up plan if Nika has to sit out against Nova. UConn 90 - Villanove 58. All prognostications must be submitted by 2:50 PM EST or 11:50 AM PST 03/07. Nika means more to the UConn offensive flow than many here seem to think and also is a relentless defender. If she can't go, and I'd be shocked if she can, it will boost Villanova and lower UConn. Because of that I've got UConn winning 72-58.

Many of you must have forgot that when UConn played @Villanova neither Nika or AE played at all and they won by 38, 90 - 52. Even with Nika out our guard play will be OK.

Unless Nova can drain a bunch of 3's this won't be close. We are not a good matchup for them. I assume Nika is out. Not sure which Paige will show up - the reluctant shooter but assist disher, or the shooting phenom, or somewhere in between. I think Anna gets a lot of minutes, but she's no Nika.
