For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn survives Duke with a 53-45 win over the 7 Seed, now it’s the 1 seed of the Portland 3 Regional USC. They are 29-5 with a PAC-12 record of 13-5. In the PAC-12 Tournament they beat UCLA in a double overtime game 80-70 in the semi-finals then in the championship game they beat Stanford 74-61 winning the last ever PAC-12 championship. Their best win was both games against #5 Massey rated Stanford 67-58 and last Sunday at the champion game in Las Vegas. While their worst loss was against Washington at home 59-62, Massey rated #51. They are rated by Massey #9, with an SOS of #7, an offense rated 26th and defense rated 17th. They averaged in Conference play 71.2 points, while allowing 64.8 points. Average 36.7 rebounds, 13.9 assists, 7.4 steals, 5.5 blocks and 11.2 turnovers a game. Shooting 40.5%, 76.9% in free throw shooting and only 34.5% in 3pt shooting accuracy.
Their starters for the PAC-12 Tournament and first three NCAA Tournament games were Kaitlyn Davis F, 6’2” SR, 32.6 Mins, 5.4 Pts, 7 Rbds, 2 Asts, 1.8 Stls, 1.4 Blks, 1.2 T/O and 3.4 PF’s. Rayah Marshall C, 6’4” JR, 28.2 Mins, 8.8 Pts, 12 Rbds, 1.2 Asts, 1.6 Stls, 1.6 Blks, 1.2 T/O’s and 3.4 PF’s. JuJu Watkins G, 6’2” FR, 37.6 Mins, 24.6 Pts, 7 Rbds, 3 Asts, 1.4 Stls, 2.2 Blks, 5 T/O’s and 2.4 PF’s. Kayla Padilla G, 5’9’ SR, 35.4 Mins, 9.8 Pts, 3.8 Rbds, 3 Asts, 0.6 Stls, 0.8 Blks, 0.8 T/O’s and 3.4 PF’s. McKenzie Forbes G, 6’1” SR, 38.4 Min, 20 Pts, 2.8 Rbds, 2.4 Asts, 1.4 Stls, 0.6 Blks, 3 T/O’s and 2.2 PF’s. The bench averages approx. 16 minutes per game, with 2 to 3 subs averaging 8.2 Pts, 8 Rbds, 2.4 Asts, 1.4 Stls, 2 T/O’s and 4.2 PF’s. All 5 losses were in conference, they were to Utah both home 68-74 and away 58-78, at UCLA 64-71, at Colorado 59-63 and at home against Washington 59-62. If UConn plays like they did against Duke they lose, but I believe they will be able to win this game, because I don’t think that they will shoot as bad as they did against Duke.

- All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 8:45 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted.
- The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or USC/Trojans. No predictions like "85-55 the good guys", will be accepted if there isn't a winner stated.
- If prior to the closing of the Prognosticator’s Predictions, you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed.
- If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow Prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
- Currently the point spread is UConn -8.5 pts, so the game should be close but I believe that UConn wins in the end, getting win #32 for the season. UConn 72 – USC 67.
