For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
I apologize for the late posting, but my internet was down for the last 4 hours. UConn plays their 35th game of the season against the University of Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners from the American Athletic Conference. The very same Conference that the Huskies ruled before going back the Big East, at Gampel Pavilion. This is the first ever matchup between the two schools. Both teams had a common opponent this season South Florida, UConn won their matchup at USF 85-51. UTSA played them 3 times, losing the first two matchups at USF 70-53 and 69-63 at home. They beat USF in the quarterfinal of the American Tournament 62-51. The Roadrunners finished 14-15, with a conference record of 9-9 during regular season play. They upset Rice in the final game of the season 61-52 and went on to win the Conference Tournament beating Temple 59-51, USF, East Carolina 54-44 and Rice 54-40. UTSA averages 60 points while giving up 57.8 points, their offense is ranked #223 while their defense is ranked #47, UConn is #2 in offense and #1 in defense.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 2:45 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted. The game is on ABC.
The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or UTSA/Roadrunners. No "85-55 the good guys", if there isn't a winning team stated in the prognostication it will not be counted. Once your prediction is posted If you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post, NO changing of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the scheduled closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed. If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
Everyone who is available will play and everyone will score. UConn will have the game wrapped up by the end of the first quarter. UConn will limit the Roadrunners’ scoring and this game will be the Huskies’ largest point discrepancy of the season. UConn is on a mission to win back-to-back Championships and send the Seniors off with another National Championship, this is the first step. Huskies 108 – Roadrunners 44.
