For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays their 34th game of the season against the Villanova Wildcats in the Big East Championship game at the Mohegan Sun Arena, 7:00 PM ET. This is the 67th matchup between the two schools with UConn winning the 49 of those games including their two match ups this season a 99-50 win in Gampel on 1/15/26 and an 83-69 road win on 2/18/26 at Villanova. The Wildcats are currently 24-6, 16-4 in Conference play and 4-0 since loss in February. Their wins were vs Marquette 64-39, at Seton Hall 82-52, vs Providence 73-65 and vs Seton Hall 62-48, the last two games were at The Big East Tournament. After watching the game between Nova and Seton Hall, unless UConn has to play without the starting five the Wildcats have no chance in HELL in winning this game. The Huskies have played flawlessly over their first three Tournament games and are currently on a mission to win their 13th National Title and complete their 7th undefeated season. The Wildcats are just another steppingstone to that mission.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 6:45 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted. The game is on Peacock.
The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or Villanova/Wildcats. No "85-55 the good guys", if there isn't a winning team stated in the prognostication it will not be counted. Once your prediction is posted If you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post, NO changing of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the scheduled closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed. If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
The starting five will play at least two quarters and maybe half of the third quarter. I believe that UConn will limit the Wildcats' scoring and this game will not be close. UConn will play all available players, and everyone will score. Huskies 92 – Wildcats 50.
