For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays their 20th game of the season against Georgetown in DC at the CareFirst Arena. The Hoyas are currently 11-7, 4-5 in Big East play. This is the meeting of the two teams this season, Massey currently has UConn with a 100% chance of winning 84-48. Their 4 Conference wins are vs Creighton 76-74, vs Butler 63-46, vs St John’s 59-34 and at Marquette 63-54. While their 5 losses are Villanova 69-76, at Providence 61-68, at Seton Hall 36-81, vs Xavier 51-52 and at DePaul 77-80. UConn has played the same teams at Creighton 95-54, at Butler 94-47, vs St John’s 88-43, Marquette 89-53, vs Villanova 99-50, at Providence 90-53, vs Seton Hall 84-48, at Xavier 104-39 and vs DePaul 102-35. UConn is 52-2 against the Hoyas with the first game at Georgetown on 1/5/88 winning 75-74. Their two losses were on 1/3/92 in DC 60-65 and on 2/27/93 in Storrs 62-64. Their largest MoV was a 62pt 107-45 win in Storrs on 1/2/01 and their smallest MoV was 1pt 87-86 OT win in DC on 2/2/94. The Huskies currently have a 40-game winning streak and a 9-0 Conference since rejoining the Big East, 12-0 if you count their conference tournament wins. Their average points a game is 79, but I do believe that UConn will have very little problems surpassing that average in DC.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 7:15 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted. The game is on TNT/truTV.
The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or Georgetown/Hoyas. No "85-55 the good guys", if there isn't a winning team stated in the prognostication it will not be counted. Once your prediction is posted If you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post, NO changing of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the scheduled closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed. If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
I believe that UConn will limit the Hoyas below their scoring average of 68.4 points and maybe double their T/Os to 32, this game won’t be close. UConn will play all available players and with everyone scoring. UConn 93 – Georgetown 45.
