For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays their 19th game of the season against long-time rival Notre Dame in Gampel Pavilion. The Irish currently have a 3-game winning streak against the Huskies, their second longest. Their longest was 7 games which started in their NCAA Semi-Final loss in Indianapolis on 3/4/11 63-72 and ended in the NCAA Championship game in New Orleans 83-65 on 4/7/13 and the beginning of Stewie and Co four Championships in a row. UConn is 38-16 all time against Notre Dame and 5-5 over the last ten games. Notre Dame is currently 12-4 with their best win being a 61-59 win against Southern Cal in South Bend, a team UConn beat on the road with a 79-51 win back in December. Notre Dame is 12-5 and 4-3 in the ACC, they have two wins against ranked teams, 61-59 vs #11 USC and a 73-50 thumping vs #22 UNC, UConn demolished the Trojans in LA 79-51. While their losses at home are 54-93 vs Michigan and 66-79 vs Louisville and losses on the road are 62-69 at Ole Miss, 90-95 OT at Georgia Tech and 68-82 at Duke. UConn beat both Louisville 79-66 and Michigan 72-69 on neutral courts. Currently ESPN has the Irish with a 4.7% chance of winning.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 4:45 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted. The game is on FOX.
The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or Notre Dame/Irish. No "85-55 the good guys", if there isn't a winning team stated in the prognostication it will not be counted. Once your prediction is posted If you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post, NO changing of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the scheduled closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed. If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
I believe that UConn will limit both Hidalgo and Prosper in scoring and UConn will end their current losing streak, the game won’t be close. UConn will play all available players, and everyone will score. UConn 92 – Notre Dame 55.
