For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays their 18th game of the season against the Villanova Wildcats at Storrs, on Throwback Night, the honoring of the 2015 & 2016 Championship Teams Huskies of Honor. Nova is currently 14-3 and 7-1 in conference play, a game behind UConn. Their conference loss is at Marquette 69-85, a team that UConn trounced 89-53. While their conference wins are at Georgetown 76-69, vs Seton Hall 72-55, vs St. John’s 85-48, at DePaul 81-48, vs Creighton 74-64, vs Xavier 67-50 and at Providence 85-55. UConn has a record of 47 wins and 7 losses and a conference record of 7-1 since rejoining the Big East, and 9-1 over the last 10 games with 2 additional wins in the BE Semi-Final 3/6/23 67-56 and the Championship game last year, which are not considered conference but tournament wins. Their first matchup was a 60-68 loss in Storr’s on 1/9/1988 and 6 of their 7 losses were when UConn was in the old Big East. The only current Big East loss was on 2/9/22 a 69-72 heartbreak in Hartford. There will be no heartbreak in Gampel Pavilion, UConn will win extending their win streak in both the Big East and the Nation.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 6:45 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted. The game is on FS1.
The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or Villanova/Wildcats. No "85-55 the good guys", if there isn't a winning team stated in the prognostication it will not be counted. Once your prediction is posted If you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post, NO changing of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the scheduled closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed. If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
